Jujitsu
has been an interesting learning experience for me. Before joining the class I
was very unaware of my surroundings. I was in a white state completely
oblivious to everything and everyone around me. Now after a few
classes of jujitsu I became vigilant and through training I’m preparing to be
in the red state if need be. I enjoy learning how to defend myself through the
techniques of throwing someone off balance. It allows me to feel as if I have the
upper hand when it comes to staying protected. I've learnt that using the
eight points where your opponent can become off balance allow your opponent to
be less of a threat and easily defeated. After watching the video I think that
kuzushi can be done effortlessly if you are focused and ready for combat.
Through the demonstrations in class I understand that through simple
application of physics altering you attacker’s center of gravity by pushing or
pulling them there should be no resistance on their part when effectively
carrying out the technique. Positioning and timing I think goes hand in hand
here. I see kuzushi as being effective when the need comes to defend yourself
because it is simple yet forceful and your opponent will be in a position where
his stability along with the ability to regain proper balance is destroyed giving
you the upper hand. Now that I am vigilant and I have this technique under my
belt I will no longer be living in fear. + http://miyamaryujujutsu.com
